On February 2nd, 2024, Barry Donadio filed candidacy to be elected to the position of Alternate Delegate to the Republican National Convention in Maryland’s 1st congressional district. During Maryland’s primary vote held on May 14th 2024, voters in the 1st congressional district will see Barry Donadio on the ballot. Donadio will have (Trump) next to his name on the ballot to let Republican voters decide who they want as the next Republican Presidential Candidate to be. Donadio has been endorsed by the Trump campaign to cast his vote at the RNC convention in Milwaukee June 2024. Out of over 700,000 persons residing in the congressional district only three official Trump Delegates and three official Trump Alternate Delegates. have been personally selected by the Trump Campaign. With the recent state of affairs moving into 2021, it may be time you consider getting legally armed. Instructor Barry Donadio, a former member of the U.S. Secret Service can show you how. The name “Donadio” is becoming a household name for those seeking who to go to for firearms training in Maryland. After protecting Presidents Bush and Obama, he moved into the private sector and opened his own private security firm called Public Security LLC. You’re in good hands with Barry Donadio the President of Public Security LLC, who is a former U.S. Secret Service tactical operator.

The building is as anonymous as one could find, nestled in an industrial park in Queenstown, MD., a mid-size town on the Eastern Shore of Maryland. A small discreet sign is the only indication that there is a well-known, well-regarded security company. The office is functional, a few items including a small toy car, certificates from the states of Maryland and New York certifying that the occupant is fully licensed as a private detective and a firearms instructor. This is the office of Barry Donadio, President of Public Security, LLC, one of about 420 security agencies in Maryland.

Like the office where he sits, Barry Donadio presents the image of a calm, quiet man, who’s background belies his appearance. Donadio, a native of New York, his accent still present, has always been involved with some aspect of security.

The summer of his junior year in high school, Donadio participated in a then, novel program which allowed underaged (he was 17) students to join the New York (NY) Army National Guard and take part if a modified boot camp. Unlike the JROTC, this program was designed to prepare students to become fully qualified student upon graduation. After graduation, Donadio qualified as an Infantry Recon Scout, assigned to the Army National Guard on Long Island, NY. He loved being in the National Guard. “I have so much respect for the men and women I worked with. Every day, they place their lives on the line to defend this country. It was an honor to serve with them.”

After his initial commitment to the Army National Guard was completed, he joined the U.S. Army Reserve as a Military Police Officer at the 340th Military Police Company in Jamaica, Queens NY. He later transferred to the New York Air National Guard where he became a Team Leader in the Emergency Services Team and was a Security Police Officer. This assignment saw him involved with the crash of TWA Flight 800 which crashed off Long Island Sound. This experience leads him to later write his first book, “TWA Flight 800 First Responder Witness Account”.

During his posting in at the Garbreski ANG base in Westhampton Beach, Long Island, he worked with a variety of law enforcement agencies, both State and Federal. He worked along side these agencies assisting with protecting President Bill Clinton and Vice President Al Gore who would visit the New York City area and Long Island. Several Federal Agents that he worked with encouraged him to consider working for the Federal Government and after visiting the Washington DC area, decided to apply to the Secret Service.

‘I finally did send in an application and promptly forgot about it. Image my surprise when I got a call to come in for an interview. I passed the required tests and background investigation and found myself working at the White House.”

Donadio’s job at the White House position was that part of the elite Emergency Response Team (ERT) whose job is to provide security for the President both at the White House itself and on travel to local and foreign areas. Donadio, understandably is reluctant to discuss specifics, even today, due to the nature of the job and to protect the security still in place.

Reluctant to retire completely, “I am the kind of guy who likes to stay busy.” Donadio wanted to do something in the security business and after talking with various people in and around the Washington DC area, decided to pursue his current position, which is marketed towards people who want to know that their home, family, friends and neighbors are protected from outside elements.

Public Security LLC will be providing HQL training for $125 per person. This training is required for those seeking their HQL in Maryland.

This is the required class to have in order to buy a pistol in the state of Maryland. The class is a required 4 hours long, followed up with shooting the required one shot from a pistol at the range.

Each student is required to buy 50 rounds of 9mm ammunition from an American manufacturer prior to the class or at the shooting range upon our arrival. Please do not bring ammunition inside the classroom. Leave ammunition in your vehicle until we arrive at the shooting range. In addition to shooting for your HQL, we will also use the remaining bullets to train you to be a better tactical shooter with some pistol drills. 

You are required to have your own transportation to and from the the shooting range. We are not authorized to transport students.

Once training is complete, fill out your HQL application online at the Maryland State Police website. It is important to let us know when you completed your application, so we can give you credit for taking the class online. Students needing a letter from us proving class completion may request one from us.

Fingerprinting is the responsibility of each student to obtain their HQL.  Live scan fingerprinting is at a separate location once you begin the application process We recommend MARI (Mid Atlantic Regional Investigations) on West Street in Annapolis. Therei is also a live scan finger printing site in Easton, Maryland.

In support of the upcoming 70th anniversary of the United Nations of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, Republican Politician Barry Donadio took action by raising awareness for human rights.

The Universal Declaration of Human Rights was drafted in 1948 with the assistance of none other than Eleanor Roosevelt. Since then it has been a foundation of what has been agreed to and is expected regarding every persons rights.

Barry Donadio is a strong supporter of the United States Constitution and also supports the United Nations Universal Declaration of Human Rights for all the people in the world.

Donadio stated that he agrees with the United Nations in the belief that the declaration inspires us to continue working to ensure all people can gain freedom, equality and dignity.

“I am very proud to support this declaration for the good of all people” said Donadio.

Donadio participated in a total of three United Nations videos that show him reciting various articles of the declaration as an inspiration to others.

On November 15th 2017, Barry Donadio filed his candidacy to run for Queen Anne’s County Commissioner of District 3 in Maryland.

Barry Donadio says he is running for Commissioner because he wants to fix unemployment in the county by obtaining medium wage jobs for residents. He wants to prevent new taxes from being created and stop tax increases. He is also looking to take steps to fix the burdensome traffic problems in Queen Anne’s County.

Donadio has been a resident of Queen Anne’s County for over 13 years. He has two sons and four daughters. Two of his daughters are currently enrolled in Queen Anne’s County schools. He also has two Grandsons and one Granddaughter.

His core values have always been cutting taxes, creating jobs, cutting wasteful spending, protecting the second amendment, and supporting veterans along with our first responders.

Donadio welcomes all county residents to meet with him and exchange ideas on improving Queen Anne’s County and how he can best serve them.

Donadio led an honorable career in the volunteer ambulance service, volunteer fire department, the military, law enforcement, and the United States Secret Service. He was assigned to the White House during the Bush and Obama Administrations. He also served in multiple Middle Eastern war zones during his career. In 2013, he published the book “ TWA Flight 800 First Responder Witness Account”. This is an account describing his actions during the rescue of TWA Flight 800 on July 17th 1996. On October 4th 2017, Committeeman Barry Donadio filed candidacy to be re-elected to the Queen Anne’s County Republican Central Committee in Maryland.

Committeeman Donadio was originally elected to the Queen Anne’s County Republican Central Committee in June 2014. He has served his full term as a Committeeman for the past 4 years with zeal.

The Republican Central Committee consists of elected or appointed members which are all Officers of the Republican Party.

Committeeman Donadio promoted the cause of good government by enlisting the support of citizens for the Republican Party, worked important Republican events in the county and supported Conservative Republicans.

He endorsed two heavy hitting Conservative Republicans. One being Nicolee Ambrose, who was subsequently elected as Maryland’s National Committeewoman of the Republican National Committee. Donadio also endorsed David Bossie who also became a Maryland National Committeeman and later worked as a Deputy Campaign Manager for President Donald Trump.

Under his nominating authority, Donadio and his current Republican Central Committee had nominated for appointment, one County Commissioner, two Board of Elections Members, multiple Members of the Republican Central Committee and a Member of the Board of Education.

Core Republican values like the cutting taxes, creating jobs, protecting the Second Amendment, supporting Veterans, Police and First Responders have been Donadio’s priorities.

Committeeman Donadio welcomes all county residents to meet with him and exchange thoughts on improving Queen Anne’s County and expectations of the Republican Party. He would also like to hear from those interested in taking roles in the Party. “We need Volunteers and supporters with new ideas to keep the Republican Party in our county robust and effective.” said Donadio. He also encourages informed and intelligent Republicans to run for office even if they have no experience doing so.

On September 9th 2017, Mr. Donadio announced that he was seriously considering a filing candidacy for Queen Anne’s County Board of Education. Donadio stated that is still a possibility. Citizens are permitted to be a Candidate for Republican Central Committee and another public office at the same time.

Barry Donadio has been a resident of Queen Anne’s County for over 13 years. He led an honorable career in the Volunteer Ambulance Service, Volunteer Fire Department, the Military, Law Enforcement, and the United States Secret Service. He was assigned to the White House during the Bush and Obama Administrations. He also served in multiple Middle Eastern war zones during his career. In 2013, he published the book “ TWA Flight 800 First Responder Witness Account”. This is an account describing his actions during the rescue of TWA Flight 800 on July 17th 1996. In 2014, he was elected to the Queen Anne’s County Republican Central Committee in Maryland. He currently serves as President of Public Security LLC, which is a high end private security, executive protection and investigation firm licensed in Maryland and New York. In January 2017, he was appointed the Sergeant At Arms of the Maryland Republican Party by the Honorable Dirk Haire, Chair of the MDGOP.
